I was walking my little (under 20 pound) dog in Dumbarton Park on Saturday, 5/15 around 7:45am. I was on Lover's Lane - the hill into the park off of R Street. A woman was running up the hill with her German Short Haired Pointer off lead. I pulled my dog into a short, controlled. As soon as they got near us, her dog charged and attacked my dog. The woman did call her dog off, but never stopped or apologize.

My guy is a bit sensitive to begin with, so this attack traumatized him. I saw the same woman the next day at the same time, running with two dogs - both unleashed.

Park rules clearly state LEASH YOUR DOGS!!! Someone or some beloved pet will end up hurt or worse because of irresponsible dog owners.
