Hi friends we are relatively new in the neighborhood this morning our nanny quit out of the blue! We are now scrambling to find child care and are considering daycare centers if we can find a really good one. Being new we are unfamiliar though. Does anyone have expe with any nearby ones? Appreciate any recommendations from the group!
Dear Community Members,
Large Equipment Removal Notice from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital We want to provide advanced notice regarding two construction-related activities happening on Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23. On both days, a large piece of construction equipment will be removed from the Georgetown campus. An oversized load truck will depart from the construction site at 1 a.m. This is happening during the early morning hours in order to minimize traffic delays. The DC Department of Transportation (DDOT) requires a permit for all overweight/oversized deliveries such as this. As outlined in the permit, the contractor is required to follow the trip route without deviation; the route is specifically prescribed by DDOT. We want you to be aware that the prescribed DDOT route is slightly different from the route outlined in the construction management plan (CMP). Per the Maryland and District of Columbia Department of Transportation, below is the route to be taken on each day. Wednesday, January 22 The equipment will depart the construction site and travel from Reservoir Road to 37th Street, to Tunlaw Road, to Calvert Street, to Wisconsin Avenue, to Brandywine Street, to River Road and continuing as the route extends into Maryland. Thursday, January 23 The equipment will depart the construction site and travel from Reservoir Road to Wisconsin Ave, to Q Street, to 22nd Street, to Florida Avenue, to S Street, to Connecticut Avenue, to Columbia Road, to Harvard Street, to 16th Street, to North Portal Drive and continuing as the route extends into Maryland. DDOT and the Metropolitan Police Department both reserve the right to revoke either permit due to extenuating circumstances that may affect the safe delivery of the equipment, including inclement weather. Thank you for your understanding and support during the construction of the Medical/Surgical Pavilion.
