Glover Park Government
Brian Turmail is a 20-year resident of Glover Park and a proud parent of 3 children. He serves as the President of the BASIS DC parent group and is a volunteer for the Stoddert PTA. He also served as the chairman of the Citizen’s Advisory Council for the Metropolitan Police Department’s 2nd District. Turmail is the Vice President, Public Affairs and Strategic Initiatives for the Associated General Contractors of America, a national commercial construction trade association.
Ann was elected in 2014. She has lived in the neighborhood since 1984 and is an independent management consultant, after 15 years working on policy, legislation and strategic planning at USDOT.
Jackie Blumenthal has served on the Commission since 2009, focusing on a wide range of issues. She served as Chairman from 2014-2017. Previously she was the President of the Glover Park Citizens’ Association for three terms. She works as a direct-mail fundraising consultant.
Melissa Lane is a staff associate for information management at the National Science Foundation. She has a degree in political science from American U. and an MA in science and tech from George Washington U.
Mary is an A.B. graduate of Fordham University in New York with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and another in Sociology. She is working on her Master’s. She worked for 25 years in the non-profit sector

Advisory Neighborhood Commission
Glover Park's Advisory Neighborhood Commission is ANC3B, covering the neighborhoods of Glover Park and Cathedral Heights. The ANC's advise the DC government " ... on matters of public policy including decisions regarding planning, streets, recreation, social services programs, health, safety, and sanitation in that neighborhood commission area." (D.C. Code, Section 1-251(c)(1))
The ANC holds its regular public meetings each month (except August) at the Stoddert Elementary School and Glover Park Community Center at 4001 Calvert Street NW, to discuss and vote on issues affecting the citizens within their geographic area. Meetings usually take place the second Thursday of each month.
Glover Park Citizens' Association
The GPCA holds "town meetings" for the citizens of Glover Park and advises the ANC3B about matters concerning the neighborhood. Meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month (no meeting in June, July August or December) at 7:00 pm at Stoddert Elementary School, 4001 Calvert Street, NW.

Residents: $20 per person, or $35 per couple
Non-residents: $20 individual
Senior Citizen: $15
