Our first power outage of the summer season! We look forward to many more.... Temeratures reached 95 degrees in Glover Park late afternoon Thursday, the hottest day of the year so far, and likely contributed to the power outage which affected about 2600 households in the neighborhood according to PEPCO's outage app. The power was restored around 7:30 pm before people could make plans to visit friends and family to avoid a sweltering night. Considering PEPCO's history, we should plan for the next one fairly soon.... By the way, that's Vicky Lawrence's 1972 album The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.
