DC Clean Rivers Project in Glover Park

DC Water is conducting investigations in Glover Park to help reduced sewer overflows to Rock Creek and the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers. The work involves soil borings at various locations in our neighborhood, with testing ending around January 2016. These soil tests are intended to help determine where and how to build large-scale Green Infrastructure to accomplish the goal.

The first phase of the soil borings have been scheduled now through November 23rd. See the attached flyer from DC Water and attached flyer #2 for specific locations and information. A community meeting will scheduled in December to get feedback from Glover Park residents.

This initiative is the outcome of a legal settlement between DC Water, DC, DOJ and EPA, which eliminated the underground tunnel for Rock Creek. See more info from their web page.
