The month-long Oktoberfest celebration has begun at Old Europe Restaurant in Glover Park! You would be pressed to find a festive Oktoberfest event in Germany this year, but Old Europe at 2434 Wisconsin Ave is grabbing the reins and celebrating with sit-down service starting 9/19/20. Rahmschnitzel, Leberkäs, Bratwurst, Weißwurst, Knockwurst, Schweinenackenbraten, Backhendl, even Schnitzel für den Gemüsefreund (those vegetarians can enjoy the festivities too, you know). Beers: Radeberger Pilsner, Spaten Optimator, Franziskaner Hefe-Dunkel, Köstritzer Schwarzbier, and many more.
Would you prefer an outdoor Oktoberfest experience? Head over to Wunder Garten's Oktoberfest celebration on Saturdays and Sundays. They are located at 1100 First Street, NE near Union Station. Old Europe has partnered with them to provide many of their special dishes at the Wunder Garten beer garden for the weekend events.
Plan ahead due to Covid World restrictions - seating is more limited than usual, reservations should be made ahead of time. Old Europe is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Wed, Thurs, Sun hours are 12-8, Fri, Sat hours are 12-9. Reserve here. You can always get take-out or delivery of your Oktoberfest favorites, but that's no fun, come on out and raise your beer and sing along!
