Point Chaud Café and Crepes to Replace Starbucks

Updated: Dec 27, 2019

Breaking news - the manager of 2302 Wisconsin Ave NW in Glover Park has announced that Point Chaud Café & Crepes has signed a lease to open a restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Starbucks. Starbucks closed just two months ago as part of a grander corporate plan to shutter 150 stores nationwide.

Point Chaud has three locations in downtown Washington DC and serves a wide selection of sweet and savory crepes at affordable prices - $4.65 for a Belgian dark chocolate crepe? Yes, please. Plan to sit out on the 1000 square foot patio and enjoy a crepe and a coffee. Point Chaud plans for a quick turnaround with an expected Grand Opening on August 1st, if not sooner.

Good things are happening in Glover Park - business ebbs and flows, operations come and go and there always is room for improvement (in the works by the way...) . Trader Joe's is opening this summer and Whole Foods never had the effect on the level foot traffic that has been hyped. In fact, the closing of the El Salvadoran visa office had much more of an effect during business hours. Laliguras Bistro is opening soon, the owner of the Mason Inn building has proactive plans for a great restaurant, Moge Tee is here (cheese foam!) and don't forget the long list of the all our other great Restaurants here. Condos are being built, the Glover House apartments will open soon, and people are eager to live in our great neighborhood!
